Rita: The Municipality of Larissa published this book about Larissa in general and then the committee, which consisted of worthy people from the city of Larissa, suggested it - the author and some others were there. So they suggested that our community should also be included in this book, which was very good.
Rita: And they suggested that I write it, so I wrote the entire history of the community, how it was, since when it had been here, because they ask since when you have been established.
Rita: How did you come here, where did you come from, and so I started because when this book was presented, I made a presentation, an explanation of what I would say.
Rita: And that's when I said that many people ask us how did you come here, where did you come from and all that, and I say we are older than all of you here.
Rita: And I explained all this and wrote all these pages that are about... about the community.
Michalis: The hat makers, the various professions.
Rita: Yes.
Rita: This is Abraham Sasson, who was also a hat maker.
Michalis: Ah, okay.
Rita: And here it says school students, I think now, on the left is Rabbi Zacharias Sasson.
Michalis: Yes.
Rita: The father or grandfather of this Abraham Sasson.
Michalis: Very old school.
Rita: And...
Michalis: I think you wrote all this here. You did this research.
Rita: Yes.
Michalis: And what we had seen here was something interesting. Your husband.
Rita: Yes, he has many photographs. That is, this photograph has been published in many magazines and books of his and such.
Michalis: Great, thank you.
Rita: Thank you.
Michalis: Good experience.
Rita: Thank you.
Rita describes how she wrote the history of the Jewish community of Larissa for a book published by the municipality. She emphasizes that their community is older than many people believe and presents photographs of historical figures such as the hat maker Abraham Sasson and Rabbi Zacharias Sasson.
